Experience: 
Muay Thai /combat sports (7 years) Martial artist (20 years) Specialization in women's, gender, and sexuality studies (Boston University 2019-2022) Slaying (24 years)

The lesson  plan includes: 
Wrist grab escapes, choke escapes, finger locks/joint locks, hair pull defense, maintaining physical distance/control the inside, standing up safe (with/without attacker weapon), groundwork/escape from a ground position, falls/throws, knees/elbows/eye pokes 

Course goals: 
  • Identify safe and unsafe situations/ spaces/red flags
  • Talk your way out of conflict/de-escalation tools
  •  Become more aware of your surroundings/escape skills 
  • Feel more comfortable walking home Learn self-defense and rape defense techniques 
  • Learn how to support other women in dangerous situations 
  •  Connect with folks in a safe space to share vulnerabilities, concerns, fears, and personal goals surrounding agency, safety, and well-being
